Extended School Year Decision Making
How do you make decisions for Extended School Year (ESY) services? Carly will discuss ESY within the context of IDEA, regulations and case decisions. Participants will learn the role of ESY in the child’s overall progress in their education, which serves as a basis for individualized decision. Carly will discuss specific decision-making principles that your team should consider to help determine the child’s need for ESY services. She will utilize multiple case studies to help therapists explore and apply these principles to real-life students with various needs and situations.
